U13s - team program

This is a 10 week program appropriate for players aged 12 and 13 years old. The coach will deliver two 90 minute session per week. These are some of the characteristics of the program:
1) The structure of the sessions is arranged so that they progress from simple to complex
2) The sessions follow this structure:
- Dynamic warm up with the ball
- Technical exercise
- Technical complex or opposed exercised
- Tactical exercise
- Scrimmage
3) All sessions incorporate technical complex element like passing, receiving and turning in a game environment to develop speed of play and game awareness.
4) Sessions are multipurpose in order to develop different aspects of the game in the same session.
U-13s – The program will develop:
- Weeks 1 and 2: Develops passing, speed of play and basic tactical elements of the game like possession and switching play.
- Weeks 3 and 4: During these two weeks the team works on basic technical and tactical elements like dribbling, turning and attacking principles in the game.
- Weeks 5 and 6: The main elements for these two weeks also combines technical and tactical elements. The team works on shooting, combination play and finishing in the final third.
- Weeks 7 and 8: For the first team the team works on defensive principles and basic team defending as unit.
- Weeks 9 and 10: The program for the last two weeks combines different tactical elements like possession, transition, combination play and finishing in the final third.
